At aolab studio, I designed two CMF series for Reebok Fitness’s equipment—MOVEMENT/ACTIVE and EXPERIMENTATION. MOVEMENT/ACTIVE is production-ready: a charcoal/grey base with Reebok’s signature Lime, Performance Blue, and Signal Red mapped to grips, knobs, pedals, and logo details across bikes, ellipticals, rowers, benches, and treadmills. To avoid visual bulk on large dark panels, I introduced a subtle tonal gradient on the charcoal surfaces—shifting from near-black to deep graphite—to catch light, add depth, and imply motion, while frames use fine-texture matte powder-coat and plastics keep controlled gloss/texture. EXPERIMENTATION pushes a bolder language with full/partial transparent PC/PMMA shells paired with satin or bead-blasted metal, gradient tints and layered graphics on rotating parts to reveal mechanism and create visual depth; the palette extends the brand colors with higher chroma and stronger contrast. Together, the two tracks deliver a deployable refresh and a forward-looking option aimed at younger, style-conscious users.
